Wednesday
Meet Wednesday! She was rescued from a backyard dog run, where she was being raised to be eaten. After health issues forced her previous family to get rid of her, Wasatch Wanderers took her in and brought her to Sage Mountain.
Last month, Wednesday was seen by the vet after swelling and limping in her left foot. X-rays revealed severe osteomyelitis, likely caused by infection or possibly cancer. Since then she’s been on antibiotics and pain meds. Last weekend, two toes on her other foot also began to go bad- likely from the extra pressure she's been putting on that foot. She had to be sedated for surgery to take care of her toes and clean the area/take cultures to identify the cause.
She's back at the sanctuary now and recovering well. We're doing everything we can to provide her with the best life possible, we just need some support with covering her medical bills. So far, the cost adds up to $1,389.
Can you help us? Any and all support goes a long way and is greatly appreciated!❤️
