Noelle
Noelle was found wandering the streets of South Jordan as a stray and ended up at the animal shelter. After her stray hold was up the day before Christmas Eve and no one had claimed her, a friend let us know that she was there looking for a home. We instantly drove to pick her up to bring her home to Sage Mountain to offer her love and sanctuary.
She didn’t want to be picked up or taken anywhere when I arrived, she was unsure if she could trust me and she stayed on guard. As soon as she arrived to the sanctuary, her whole demeanor changed like she wasn’t nervous anymore. She instantly became talkative and curious, wanting to follow us everywhere to be involved. Our other turkey hen, Kong Ga, was overjoyed to meet her and to have another turkey hen around to spend time with. Brett, our only male turkey, took great pride in protecting her right away and being there for her every need.
Since arriving, Noelle has enjoyed spending time with her new family, meeting all of our volunteers and exploring the sanctuary. Her and Brett are pretty much inseparable at this point and we’re honored to offer her a loving home for the rest of her days.
