Sage Mountain Animal Rescue is pleased to present a one-time screening of the groundbreaking, provocative documentary “Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret.” The feature-length film, which explores the most destructive industry facing the planet today, will screen at the Prospector Theater in Park City on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased on or before Sept. 18 at http://www.tugg.com/events/11089.
“We are excited and honored to help host and promote this special screening as its subject matter truly complements Sage Mountain Animal Rescue’s work and mission,” says Sage Mountain Animal Rescue Executive Director Lauren Lockey, who co-founded the non-profit with Dave Swartz. “It’s also a great way to raise awareness of our new farm animal rescue and rehabilitation facility, which is currently under development in Brown’s Canyon.”
Known as the film that even environmental organizations don’t want the public to see, filmmakers Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn examine the leading contributor to global warming, water depletion, wildlife extinction and deforestation and why such champions of the environment won’t address it.
Five percent of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Sage Mountain Animal Rescue. Prospector Theater is located at 2175 Sidewinder Drive, Park City. An informal gathering will be held at The Boneyard Saloon, 1251 Kearns Blvd, immediately following the screening with a cash bar offered.
