A 7,000 sq ft barn to keep every resident warm, dry and safe through the hardest winters in the mountains above Park City. Every gift on this page is counted toward building it.

The shelters the animals have now are small. When winter comes, they spend it confined to those small spaces. The Barn gives them a much larger indoor area, with room to move around even in the worst of the season.
And winters here have grown harder every year. Snow drifts over ten feet tall have blocked the animals inside the shelters where they sleep until volunteers could dig them out, and buried the yard’s fence so deep that a second fence went on top of it, and was buried too. The Barn lets everyone stay inside, together, when the weather turns.
What your gift builds
- A much larger indoor space, so no one spends the winter confined to a small shelter
- Shade and cool air through the hottest summer days
- A stall set aside for vet care, and for quarantine when someone new arrives
- An apartment for two caregivers, so someone is always on site
- A warm room and a bathroom for volunteers, and room for yoga and events all year
“In previous years there's been snow drifts high enough to block the animals in their shelters. So the volunteers have to dig them out. It's a lot of work for volunteers and it's very stressful for the animals. The Barn would eliminate that struggle completely since everyone can stay inside during the harsh winter storms.”
“There's been times in the winter where the fence to the main yard gets buried in snow. So we put a temporary fence on top of that fence. And then that fence gets buried in snow too. The Barn would prevent that from being problematic since everyone can stay indoors when it's bad outside.”
